| Happy 2009!!
I hope you had a great 2008. Here are some highlights of mine:
January: I was still in Hong Kong!! Memories of my stay there are still very vivid in my head. I miss Tamsphewl so much...it's been soo long since we've all hung out and have fun together. Thank you all for keeping in touch with me despite the geographical distance and time difference! Especially...thank you for taking time out of your new lives to keep me company =) Love you all, LAZY Tamsphewl (although all but "a" are not lazy anymore...!!) February: Valentine's at McDonalds I love that we don't care where we spend these "special occasions" as long as we have each other! Thank you for the flower that never fadessss!!!
March: My boyfriend got baptised on the 23rd this month!! Words cannot express how much it means to me that you, my partner, now share something that has been a huge part of my life. God has certainly guided you these few years, and I'm sure He will continue to do so as you walk your spiritual path~ April: Finalssss... This semester was a great semester. In fact, it's the best semester since life as an undergraduate! I'm really happy about my grades this semester =)
May - August: I had the chance to return to the RO as an office assistant. There are certainly more duties and responsibilities to take up since I'm working the entire summer rather than just one month. More fun than just mailing letters and issuing transcripts...ha..ha... It was great in a sense that I got to save up some money. My goal was to save up enough to pay for Fall 2008 - Winter 2009's tuition. aaaaaaaaaaaaand I DID!!! Hehe, so proud~ In July, I took a summer course on World Music. The reason for taking a summer course is because of my complex scheduling plans for my 3rd and 4th year. Because I SUCCESSFULLY transferred to BA Honors (Music) program (good job to me, by the way ), I now have to fulfill new program requirements. Some requirements were basics, which should normally be completed in the first 2 years...but I have already completed my second year of study, so these requirements clash with my 3rd and 4th year course time slots. As a result, I can either choose to graduate late and take these basic courses, or take summer courses and graduate on time. To me, it was a simple choice. Even though it was quite a lot of work (going to work every weekday AND school every weekday) and quite tiring (after work, I come home and I just don't wanna do the homework! ><) it went by really fast and I actually had fun by the end of it =) I got to know some really nice people in the course, and we came up with a pretty brilliant presentation! Good job team!! Another amazing thing was...I got to CONDUCT an actual ensemble!! I conducted the concert band at my high school. It was a lot of fun working with them, and it was a really good experience for me as a conductorrrr. Hehe, I love conducting! September: A member of LT has come for a year long exchange program! It was kinda fun being a chauffeur. Third year begins..and it started off rough. First, I had to drop a course because I didn't like it and from what the syllabus said...I wouldn't have survived in that class because I never...never never never...ever...raise my hand and answer questions. I am super passive!! I barely even say anything when I am specifically asked to answer a question, or give an opinion..anyways...it was kind of a hassle to find a new class to take. It all worked out in the end...I ended up taking a course taught by the professor who taught me in the summer course! -----hmm, i'm typing more and more stuff...maybe i'll switch back to really highlighting stuff...----- TURNED 20 years old!! I had a great time celebrating with 7 of my close friends. Thank youuuuuuu!! October - November: Struggles, struggles, struggles..... Papers......projects....assignments....annoying assignments...midterms.... These all probably collectively contribute to my poor final grades. All blame is on me, though. I can honestly say that I haven't been trying hard this semester... at least I feel that I could have done so much better if I just spent 15 mins more on school work each night I ended up watching TV, TV, and more TV.
December: After final projects and finals...CALGARY TRIP WITH LB2!!! It was quite fun, even though we could have done everything here in Edmonton LOL... We just needed a new adventure...we needed to escape the boringness of the numbness of shopping at WEM. SOooooooo yea we shopped, and shopped, and shopped until we drop!! First time driving down the highway outside of the city...Thank God for nice roads and safety!! As the holidays begin, I just spent the time with my loved ones. I love spending time together, just relaxing...not worrying, not working, not stressing =) That's what holidays are for: to relax! and that's exactly what I did.
so i guess my highlights didn't exactly turn out to be highlights... that's ok...no one reads this anyway... but if you did, thanks for catching up on my life in 2008! hope yours was a great one, and hope your 2009 will be an even greater one!! i'm getting sleepy...gdnight! |
